About Me

Who am I...

I'm a wife and mother of 3 very active boys.  Two of which are fraternal twins.  We joke that they came out colored coded. One's a blonde and the other a brunette.  There's 5 years difference between our oldest and the little boys.  Our oldest is a huge help to me and the little boys.  Oh, and did I mention my best friend, who in my blog goes by J?  He's pretty amazing himself.  He helps me not take myself too seriously, something I didn't do as much before all these sweet boys came on the scene, lol!  We laugh together and disagree together, but above all things we are committed to being TOGETHER.

I love being available to my family full time, it's an opportunity that I couldn't do without my husbands support and help.  My job brings tremendous joy and satisfaction.  Also, lots of laundry, dishes, and messes.  Lots & lots of messes...I live with a house full of boys so it's a given.  But wife and mother isn't all of me.  

My heart belongs first to a loving Creator.  He inspires and encourages me with His word and goodness daily! He gave His best when He sent His son Jesus.  I find my strength in Him and trust me I need it every day!  His faithfulness is overwhelming and I could go on and on about good He has been in my life, my families life, and in the lives of other people I know.

Me personally...

I love being with my guys.  I love date nights with my husband and road trips with our boys.  Game nights laughing it up with family & friends. Goofy movies and coffee shop talks. Crisp Fall days.  Just telling you right now I could do Fall and everything that comes with it all year round, really I could.  I look forward to it all year round.  I do enjoy the occasional quiet time and would love to read more.  Which by the way, I enjoy all those things more in the Fall!  

Why Amber Vues...

Amber Vues is not the word "view" like my opinions, but more my thoughts on the "view" I have from where I'm at in my life.   The word Vue comes from my desire to find another way of saying view, but in French.  So when I was naming the blog I Googled the word "view" in French & it's Vue like a panoramic view-- it works really well for my Beautiful Vue posts.  Silly, maybe so, but I like it. 

And obviously my name is Amber so there you go...Amber Vues.  My "Vue" into my own life--looking out & in.

Why a blog...

I really enjoy writing.  It's my way of putting myself out there and connecting.  The more I blog the more I find my passion for it.  I have a strong desire to encourage others around me, especially mothers and women.  Sticking together and helping each other out.  Do I have it all figured it out?  Not at all!  Am I a professional family expert?  Nope.  Just like every mother who's come before me, I'm learning and growing.  I'm leaning on my Creator and believing for divine intervention when I miss the mark. Sometimes I'm soaring and it feels like "I've got it all in the bag".  Sometimes I fall flat on my face and I'm covered in a mess of laundry and crazy kids.  But I'm committed to never giving up, growing as a wife & mother, and I hope that I can encourage and help someone along the way.
